What Is Microcurrent Therapy?

Microcurrent therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses extremely low-level electrical currents, or microcurrents as they are commonly referred to as, to isolate and treat nerve, joint and muscle pain, tissue inflammation as well as many other health challenges and issues.

Microcurrent therapy focuses in on the body's own electrical cellular frequencies in order to reduce pain and inflammation, increase blood flow and healing and bring back range of motion. At the cellular level, it increases the production of ATP or the cells natural energy producers. It also increases protein synthesis which is used for tissue repair.

What Is A Microcurrent Session Like?

The patient sits comfortably while electrodes are placed in key positions on the body in order to direct currents to the tissues needing attention. The charge is so weak that patients do not feel any sensations whatsoever.

Is Microcurrent Therapy Safe?

While not recommended for patients with pacemakers or who are pregnant, Microcurrent therapy is FDA-approved as a safe course of therapy for most patients and results in no adverse effects.
